Our Story & Mission

Reviving traditional Vedic cow-based healing systems and supporting sustainable Ahimsa animal protection models in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The Spirit of Shree Kamdhenu

Founded in Indore, Shree Kamdhenu was born out of a deep reverence for native Indian cow breeds (especially Desi Gir cows) and a commitment to preserving ancient Ayurvedic wisdom.

Our products are sourced directly from cows raised ethically in a 100% cruelty-free (Ahimsa) environment, where calves are fed first, and no artificial hormones are used.

Every purchase directly aids in funding fodder, medical care, and facilities for over 230 cows housed at our local Indore shelter.

Gaushala Store

The Principle of Ahimsa (Non-Violence)

In traditional industrial dairies, cows are treated as automated production lines. At Shri Krishna Balram Gaushala, we stand strictly against this cruelty.

Our milking methodology ensures the calf drinks first from two teats. The remaining two teats are hand-milked only afterwards. Our cows are never injected with Oxytocin to force excess milk yields.

Cow Protection Beyond Lactation

A cow’s natural lifespan is about 20 years, but she only milks for 7-8 years. While commercial dairies discard cows past their milking years, Shree Kamdhenu cares for every cow throughout her entire natural lifetime. Their cow dung and urine are utilized to formulate certified organic manures, natural soaps, and Ayurvedic remedies.
